Multimedia Media System Project
A way to track, share and reuse media. Also collect data to track performance metrics.
Working closely with the internal development group, I was tasked with outlining requirements, system mapping, providing weekly progress updates to the stakeholders, anticipating potential bottlenecks or risks, providing solutions to mitigate those risks, developing UI elements, conducting and performing user testing while logging issues, developing mid-high level wireframes for the next features, identifying which data to collect and documenting the processes for use.
Below is the MVP developed from discussions, sketches, wiring framing and prototyping.
The MVP features identified were
Work order landing page
A way to see the requested media to capture
Place to upload the media
Rejection system once the media was reviewed
were logged as well as overseeing users in the system providing training on its use.
While working in the media manager role, I identified several quick wins and new features to be implemented in the next version.
Work orders to be sent back to the Service Engineers
Additional group support
Separating out common purposes
Transitional holding spot while service reviews the copy
Additional columns on the work order landing page for easier sorting
Workorder locking feature
Reuse panel to inform if a similar image was previously developed.
During full production run, the data collected on the performance of internal and external illustrators quickly revealed production bottlenecks and overall cost of development. From the collected data, I was able to present on where and how to solve these inefficiencies and develop a cost to produce calculator, which enabled management to determine proper cost allocation for incoming programs.
